This is a light acoustic version of a song that I've done in a lot of different styles since I wrote it a few months ago.

It's been thirty-six hours
Since we started talking this through

And not sleeping for two days straight
Might seem like a bad remedy for anything

And maybe take everything said with a grain of salt

Keeps pouring out the words from the top of my head
And it's clear neither of us wants this
But your hypotonic conscious is absorbing

It was super bowl night and the stakes were high for both teams
The players took to the fields but they don't know how to play
It's gonna be a while before this game ends
And it's not gonna end today

The TV was on downstairs and we just ignored both the cheer and the shout
Something is wrong I said
I've got to go 'cause I am all worn out
There's a certain amount of disconnect when the real world seems this fake
I need to sleep
I'm impaired
And it's all too much to take
I kept saying
Something is wrong
My head feels
Very very light
And I'm all worn out
And I don't want to fight anymore
I'm tired
